When two people fall in love it is an amazing feeling like stars circling your forehead. But how do you know when you have fallen hard for someone or if it's just a desire to be loved? Or even simple lust?
These are questions I ask myself every time I begin to think I am falling for someone new. And I am not even sure I believe that we can love too many times in our lives. I don't think love only happens once but I also don't think we will love every person we date, although some people will say those three little yet powerful words to each person they date.

I have told only two people in my life to this point that I loved them and I am in my twenties. Personally I do not like to claim to love someone unless I am positive it's true.
With the first guy I was sure from the beginning. In fact, I still love him and think about him often because I loved him so much and I have a lot of memories with him. Those memories lend me the opportunity to remember what it was like to find love and what it truly is. However, it also gave me another chance to love again when he left. Even though it hurt and I spent years holding onto "what might have been."
Thankfully I found someone who has honestly allowed me to forget wanting him back and striving to regain his love. So when he called and offered me another chance if I would fly out to where he was, I told him it wouldn't work out. There are reasons why someone didn't make it to your future so let it stay in the past. Be there friend but let dating them go.
Hence people fall in love for compatibility reasons. Sometimes two people find love through occupation similarities, love for an activity, family values, future plans, and children. Yes I said children. There are those who fall in love with one's children and then fall for the parent if that is a quality in a love that they strongly desire.
Right place, right time presents two people an arrow from cupid for a chance at love. Love, I personally feel is about what a person wants at that time in their life and who they stumble upon who has even the slightest bit of those qualities.
So is it lost or love? Well, that is honestly a question that can only be answered by the two involved in the relationship. They will know what is going on in their hearts and behind closed doors. And they are the only ones with access to each other's heart to know whether it is true love or simple lust occurring within themselves.
