Born to soar.
She lived a life of shame.
It was some life all the same.
But she was meant to soar closer to the sun.
But instead she walked on land,
And lived a life on the run.
She did not know she was a unique one.
Then one day she saw the sky,
She said, "This looks really high"
But something within began to rise
Suddenly she had an urge just to fly.
She knew she had to decide,
Either to stay or to rise,
Soaring now became her desire,
Because she was meant to fly higher.
She was told that she needed to grow.
And all this while she had no home of her own.
But she believed in herself and still had hope.
So she tried and tried....tried till finally she rose.
She soared all day long.
For the first time she knew she was not wrong.
Now she knew she belonged
She wondered why it took her so long.
Born to soar, but she did not know of her fame.
She was born to soar ... and Eagle is her name.
