We begin to work the day we are born. We do this, we do that and we work. I can say firmly that we are born to work and it's our work in life that leads our destiny. How we handle ourselves and how we deal with the world around us. The world is full of human beings, animals, trees and all, who can feel the pleasure and pain! Our very word and every word, our attitude, our behavior, our thoughts and their reflections are all different forms of work.
But yes, when we refer to work, in general, it means a professional career, with a good package take home! Even then also work as a fact of life, a reality of life demands honesty and integrity along with respect for fellow human beings in every sphere of life. Let's talk about the professional work that we do to earn our living, which would suit our lifestyle! Are we ever satisfied with our wants? Do they have a limit? I would rather say, there are two classes of workers, one who works to meet the basic necessities of their life and others who work to meet the never ending wants of their life. And in the race to fulfill our desires we keep on working and working and working and one day we end up to our surprise at a platform where we only feel all the works we did in life, all the time we spent working to earn more and more and all the hours we thought of a promotion, a better environment to live in, to work with and all the dreams we wished to be fulfilled were all lost in the flow of time and we have achieved nothing at the end of the day!
Again talking about work and fact, while work is a purely physical aspect of life, fact is often a relative term. Fact of life in its true form is less known to people who only end up running after the physical needs of life. Have we ever thought about the eternal and spiritual need there of. Who are we? Where have we come from and where are we going? There are certain questions we tend to avoid in our life but a time comes, when all alone, we are bound to reflect up on ourselves and bow down before the almighty.
It doesn't mean one shouldn't work or dream of a better future. This is only a reflection, where we as individuals and as a globe are leading to? Lets reflect how our work: the fact of our lives, be it on the personal front or professional, is going to bring in a smile in the face of millions of deprived in the world? How can we bring in a positive change in the fast decaying world's environment and climate by changing our life-needs and of course our work for that sake. All the work that we do or we will end up doing in a lifetime must include a component of internalization and self reflection. Let's devote our works to the betterment of the society, the world and our internal spiritual beings.
