Recipes: Spaghetti Carbonara

One of the easiest pasta menu would be Carbonara! Not many restaurants have Carbonara on their menu unless you go to a real Italian restaurant and it is quite popular. If you love creamy and cheesy, this is a dish you definitely want to try for sure! Carbonara is the first dish I learned to cook when I was 13 years old. It wasn't difficult at all and it came out perfect, I remember being so proud of myself. I promise it is really easy! You basically need one bowl and 2 pans. Bowl to mix all the sauce ingredients, one pan to boil the pasta, and another pan to combine the sauce and pasta. You will be able to make the sauce while you boil your pasta, it is that fast and simple.

-Ingredients- for 2

Pasta (any kind you like)
1/2 pack Bacon (cut small)
1/4 onion slice
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 garlic clove
2 table spoon butter

-Sauce ingredients- for 2

1 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
1 cup Parmesan cheese
2-3 eggs (depends on size)

-Method-

1) Bring the water to boiling and start cooking your favorite kind of pasta.

2) Put 2 tbsp of butter in a new pan and grill the minced garlic and add bacon that is cut into small bite pieces and then add the sliced onions when the bacon is half way cooked. Season it with the chicken bouillon cube and some salt and pepper. Do not grill the bacon until it is crispy like breakfast style!

3) Mix all the sauce ingredients together.

4) Combine the pasta with the bacon and onion into the pan on low heat.

5) Add the sauce mix but keep it on low heat. The temperature from the pasta will heat up the sauce and you don't want to put the heat on high because the eggs will start to cook like scrambled eggs. It just needs to be thickened slowly.

That is all! easy right? You can also add spinach right after the bacon and onions are cooked, but be sure to add it at the end because spinach only take a Minuit to cook. If you like Pancetta you can substitute it with Bacon, it is a little pricey but it has a nice flavor and much less fat. If the bacon has too much fat, you can cut some of them off before grilling them. I love bacon so I personally like to put a lot, try making it once and you will get an idea how you would like it next time! or perhaps you can make it without milk and use only cream to make it creamier and thick if that is what you like. So try it!
