I'm just a child
My father is nice
He loves my mother
Our relationships nice
Their relationship turns
And he's out the door
Now our conversation are about the same thing
What man comes over in the evening
But I want to tell you what's happening with me
Yet he doesn't care
Call after call, just asks the same thing
Where's your mother
What's she doing
I don't even want to talk anymore about her
He's getting more and more bitter
Arguments grow past the phone
They are now in the courtrooms
I'm feeling alone
My mother is too caught up in the battle
To pay attention to me
I'm feeling alone
Can they focus on me
My father doesn't even know I exist
As the time flies by
I wonder if I meant anything to him
Would he even care if I died
But the years go by
It's been 7 years since he's called
Now he wants to come around
Is he kidding, don't he see
All the bitterness he had
He's passed on to me
I don't want to see him
He did nothing for me
He couldn't pay child support
Or see if I was alive
Now he wants to visit
Is he out of his mind
All he cared about was my mother not me
I don't want to see you daddy
I'm over you
You can move on without me
You never did anything for me
but cause me grief
Bringing me where a child should not be
In grown up fights, I no longer want you around
you do nothing but bring me down
I can see you later
When you turn to dust
Dead beat dad
I can no longer trust
