Coast to coast
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
I rattle through my job each day
to keep my mind free from the pain.
but every night when the sun goes down
it comes right back just like the rain.
I can't stop my memories
from clouding up my head
when I think about the love we had
my eyes go scarlet red
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
it doesn't matter where I go
I'm hurting coast to coast
it's all my fault I can freely admit
I took your sweet love for granted
and now every night I pay the price
it's a seed that's left unplanted
it's a rose bush buried in the snow
the ice that keeps me so cold
started the day I watched you go.
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
it doesn't matter where I go
I'm hurting coast to coast
now who ever said that a man ain't suppose to cry
has never had a love of his own
cause to watch your love walk out the door
doesn't turn your heart to stone
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
it doesn't matter when or where I go
I'm hurting coast to coast
no I'll never love another,
I now know this one for sure
you can only give you love but one time
to fix a broken heart no there ain't no cure
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
it doesn't matter when or where I go
I'm hurting coast to coast
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
every evening when the sun goes down
is when it hurts the most.
coast to coast
