Carefully consider the honesty of yourself, a lifestyle that includes a defiance of facts, a confusing use of metaphors is asking for stressful discussion. Arguments with your parents, siblings, friends or associates at work is the root cause of stress. Eliminating stress altogether is not attainable because living is stressful if it was only for having to deal with other stressed out people.
Think that stress is what other people are dealing with, and to reduce your own stress is to avoid passing on your stress to others. Parents are immediate targets of course, after all they were the cause of your existence and any setbacks in growing up reflects back on them. Childish behavior (selfish behavior) is natural if you are a child but once grown up that attitude should at least accept parents for what they are, two human beings with various degrees of (im)perfection. Any imperfection parents are accused of is only hurting yourself. Alleviate your stress by loving and accepting your parents for allowing you to become you. To love them cost nothing and to accept them unconditionally is the way to be. If parents do not accept you for what you are, so be it.
That will change, though, after they recognize your attitude.
If you are so lucky to have siblings, we have to take into account the age differences and gender differences, whatever the case may be. Your siblings are different and accepting them for what they are removes your stress. You love them and accept them and they will return the favor. A rebellious or obnoxious sibling is told to behave or otherwise is avoided in a meaningful discussion. Siblings are your own and will always be part of your life unless they choose to disconnect.
Another cause of stress are friends, do what friends do, support each others lifestyle but stress can be avoided by dropping stress inducing friends like a hot potato. A good friend is a generous person towards you, accepting and respecting you is insisted upon.
At work, stress can be limited by accepting the fact that you are working to make a living.
The best is to like your work, be as helpful and cooperative as you can, give all your knowledge you can in order to be happy with the opportunity your work provides and a paycheck for work well done. To deliver and receive negative thoughts in the work environment is stressful and usually counter productive.
The last subject to talk about is about religion or spirituality. To move around that subject is either stressful or the exact opposite, depending on how you were introduced to it by your parents. The doubters can find answers and peace in metaphors and there are those that get answers from facts. Answers obtained from either source is not necessarily reducing stress or increasing stresses especially if the two persons get together and battle it out as to whom has the correct answers to the meaning of life. The fact is that we should not ridicule but respect each others' point of view. To have a single point of view on this subject has been eluding us for Melania and is only something to work towards to. For a start, we have equal need and right to the use of nature no matter where we are on this planet.
Personally, I strive for scientifically derived at facts, fossilized remains indicate that life is billions of years old while the written word only started some 4000 years ago in an environment in which humans had no idea what nature was all about. Buddha, Jesus and Mohamed, for instance, are special ancestors that made a genuine effort to teach a lifestyle least stressful.
