Vacation in Big Bear Lake, CA
Big Bear Lake is a touristic city all year round. The winter is well known for its skiing in the mountain and summer is inviting travelers to play on the lake. When ever you decide to visit, you are sure to be charmed by the beautifulness of the mountains.
You can't go to Big Bear Lake without seeing Big Bear Lake! Everyone will find something to do. Choose between hiking, skiing, sailing, biking or just relaxing. Bring your bike or rent one! You need to see the landscape from the top. You like relaxing on a boat? Why not try something new like jet skiing or windsurfing. These water sports are sure to give you the excitement you are looking for! A great vacation includes golf. You can enjoy a 9-hole round or take the whole family to the mini-golf. Meadow Park offers you a great playing area like beach volley ball, horseshoe pits, tennis courts and you can also go for a nice swim. These activities can be found at different location around the lake.
This one is a great activity and you have a chance at supporting a great cause. MoonRidge Animal Park is a small zoo and is lots of fun for the whole family. This small zoo is trying to expand their land to give better life style to the wildlife. So while you're there, you can donate money to help them achieve their goal. I recommend that you go during the afternoon when they have their special "feeding" tour. You are guarantee to see animals as they will just jump out to come get their meal. Your guide will take the time to give you fun information about each animal. The zoo also offers the "flashlight safari tour". This happens every Saturday night between September and October. Bring your flashlight because you will walk around in the dark and get to see the animals in action.
Of course, all these great activities can't be done in just one day. You can find many great hotels in different rating and price range. Most amenities are situated on Big Bear Boulevard, the city main road. If you are looking for a nice place to stay with amazing services, I would suggest Best Western Big Bear Chateau. Prices are good and the location is great. The view is wonderful and the Big Bear Lake's pine forest is just a few feet away. If you would like more privacy, Big Bear Condos are really nice too. It might be a little more expensive, but it's worth the money. A nice fitness center and a pool is at your disposition. There is a lot more to choose from. If you're planning your vacations on a long weekend or during the peek season, make sure you make reservations ahead of time.
Big Bear Lake is a great place to expend your knowledge, relax and have fun, with friends or family. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself. While you're there... take a deep breath of fresh air.
