Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the fifth installment of the Harry Potter franchise, which has been critically acclaimed from J.K. Rowling's stunning master piece, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix novel.

Voldemort has finally returned, and his is hell-bent on destroying his arch-nemesis, Harry Potter. The three young friends return, Harry, (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron, (Rupert Grint), and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), as the young rebellious students from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The film opens with Harry having nightmares about the events surrounding Cedric Diggory's death; his evil cousin, Dudley Dursley and his gang, teasing him about his nightmares. Harry's enforced rage makes him react aggressively, and advances on his cousin, bringing out his wand against the muggles (non-magick) people. As a thunder storm approaches, Harry and Dudley decide to split, and get attacked by a group of Dementors - followers of Lord Voldemort. Even though in the presence of a muggle, Harry is forced in to using the powerful Patronus charm; which, gratefully, send the Dementors scouring away. Mrs. Figg - an elderly old lady, finds the two boys; Dudley half-drained of life from his attacker - and escorts them back to Private Drive.

When the Ministry of Magick detects the usage of underage wizardry, Harry is sent a letter by the councel, informing him that he has been expelled from Hogwarts. At night, Harry is rescued from the clutches of his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernom, by Nimphadora, Professor Lupin, and Mad Eye Moody. With a witty plan in mind, they secretly lead Harry in to the heart of the secret society, the Order of the Phoenix. Here, Harry is once again welcomed by his former companions, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley (Emma Watson) and (Rupert Grint). After being told that they were not allowed to mention a word to Harry about the Order, Harry begins to feel angered that Dumbledore isn't sharing information with him; since he battled the dark lord the previous year.

The Order has been constructed by those willing to go against Lord Voldemorts grasp; Professor Lupin, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley; Fred and George; Ginny, Severus Snape - once known as a Death Eater; another of Voldemort's followers - and Sirius Black; Harry's godfather, inform the young boy that Voldemort may be attempting to get his vile hands on a weapon of some sort; something he didn't have the last time when he was in power - something that is supposedly hidden deep inside
