I miss you John
I miss you everyday
I understand it was your time to go
I realize it was my time to grow
But in your absence there is a void
I cannot fill and become annoyed.
I get along most days just fine
You always said my life should shine
But every now and then the tears will flow
The sobbing starts as if I didn't know
Your chair sits empty, your cup unused
My thoughts begin to wander and I become amused
I think of all the laughter, of all the good times
With a tear on my face, I fear I must be losing my mind.
With all these words I can't help but ask
Am I strong enough yet for this daunting task
For if it's really better to have loved and lost
Does it ever really matter what the cost?
So as the tears begin to slow and ease the aching in my heart
As I gaze upon your picture and understand you are a part
Of my life, of my journey, you shall always be
The strength and the light which are guiding me.

Poetry: Death of a loved one
by Judi B
Heaven Has My Hero Now
Heaven has my hero now,
My life with you is gone.
It's changed in oh, so many ways
But yet continues
"Never"
(In Loving Memory
For my Tattooed Queen)
Taken away before your time,
The debt paid before the crime,
Left but never
The Long Wait
The leaves fell down
Upon the autumn grass;
Frailty in every shade of red...
I sat by the window for a closer
Not a day goes by that I don't think of you
Neither sunrise nor sunset that I don't hear your voice
Or miss your laugh
And
Lights shine off in the distance
Nothing but blackness appears
There is resistance
Death whispers in my ear
He talks of a life
