This poem is just for you,
Because I saw heaven from your view.
You ministered to the whole congregation,
But some thought it was just a misrepresentation,

Of who you really, really are,
In my opinion, the best Minister West End's had by far.
Your ministry met the entire congregation's needs
When we were just a tiny baby.

You ministered to the young and the old as well,
Because of your ministry we do sometimes dwell,
On the way things used to be,
When we thought you'd be with us for eternity.

You never miss the water til the well runs dry,
Your ministry at West End always did supply,
Us with water and food for thought,
Just as Jesus in His word always taught.

There has never been another minister just like you,
Because you always kept heaven in your view.
Those who were young and are now adults are still here,
Because you ministered to them and showed them you cared.

I know the Lord had to take you higher,
You've learned a lot and now it's time for you to inspire,
Another congregation who is in need of the grace,
God gave you to run this rugged race.
