R&B Band Profile: Soul for Real
Soul for Real was not only a great sounding R&B band. The four band members are siblings. Andre born on April 4, 1974, Brian born on December 14, 1975, the eldest of the four is Christopher "Choc" born on April 30, 1971 and the youngest is Jason born on May 10, 1980.
A Quartet, they were the Dalyrimple brothers from Wheatley Heights, NY. The brothers sang together in their church choir before they started their recording career in the early 90's. Their music style was a "hip-hop-urban-soul".
The band was discovered by hip-hop pioneer and producer Heavy D. The brother's age ranged from 15 years to 24 years old when they made Platinum status of their first LP "Candy Rain" in 1995.
The LP titled "Candy Rain" hit the charts and went to a Platinum status by the end of the year. The song titles include Candy Rain, Every Little Thing I Do, All in My Mind, If You Want It, I Wanna Be Your Friend, Ain't No Sunshine, Spend the Night, I Don't Know, If Only You Knew, Thinking of You, and Piano Interlude.

Heavy D. and Sean Puffy Combs at the time, now goes by Diddy got together with the band after the bands tour of America and Overseas. Together they produced the LP "For Life" released in1996.
The song titles include Stay, Never Felt This Way, You Just Don't Know, Love You So, Let's Stay Together, Good To You, Being With You, Leavin', Where Do We Go, I'm Coming Home, Your Love Is Calling, I Don't Want To Say Goodbye and Can't Tell You (Acapella)
Also in 1996 they released the LP titled "Love You So". A couple of the song titles include, Love You So, Never Felt This Way.
The LP "Heat" Soul IV Real was released in 1999. The song titles include Come See Me, Can't Waite, Party All Night, and Everything I Do, You Can Spend the Night, Into You, Heat, One Step, Get So Crazy, What's Going On, I Want You, and Hymn.

The LP "Can't Waite" was also released in 1999. The song titles include Can't Wait (Instrumental Version), Can't Wait (Vocal Version), I'll Wait Around All Day, To See Your Face, Vibe That I Get From You, Takes Me To Another Place, Where We Can Fly,
Like Everyone's Dream Girl, You Holding Me And Me Holding You

The band now down to three members as the eldest of the four Christopher "Choc" is now a father and is concentrating on his family. Andre, Brian and Jason feel that they have to move on. A hard decision to make, but timing is everything. They feel that when the time is right their eldest brother will return to the band.
In 2007 they released yet another LP titled: "The Unknown" Song titles from their newest album are: One Man featuring Jadakiss, It's Me Again, Top Of The World, One In A Lifetime, All In My Mind, Candy Rain, Every Little Think I do, I Don't Know, If Only You Knew, Leavin', Say Yes, and Spend The Night.
