Short stories: Inheritances

Here was lad of aged 17 who decided that all he had to do in life was go to university and then his life would be made. Little did he know is that is what was about to happen.
Michael left his tiny home and nice family to take up study at a famous university the world of science. Studying for all degrees, masters, and PhDs this took him to the age of 35.
Before reaching university Michael was brought up in a very small house with his parents and 2 sisters. The sisters were both older and both worked hard in the old fashioned jute mills that were based here so long ago. They had decided that university life was not for them. Michael's parents were both older and they both had worked in factories also. His mother was now 52 and his father was now 60. It seemed to be that their time to rest and enjoy life had come.

Michael then met his lovely American wife Loella who had been sent across to study also by her very rich parents. She had long golden hair, blue eyes and a little cheeky smile. She studied economics. After leaving the world of university they both got married and went back to America to start a new life and have a family.

The American life is great for people who love to spend, spend, spend and also good for those who like to show off to the world what they have.

They had a family of two and settled in a big country house with all that they needed and good jobs through having passed with high qualifications.

After being there a few years both Loella's parents were killed in a car crash. All tried saving them but by the time they reached the hospital both had tragically died. The reason for the crash is still unknown but it was believed to be a case of Loella's father working too hard and not sleeping and then driving when he should have been taking a rest. We will probably never know the correct reason for the crash.

In the event of Loella being an only child she was left with their inheritance to share with all the family she had now.

With so much left to the Loella and Michael they are now living like millionaires.Grand parties, fancy cars, nice clothes and all you could ever dream of in being a millionaire or a relation to one.

If you do become a millionaire like this or if you win the Lotto my moral of this story would be is to never leave the family you have to start a new one and always remember where you came from before as one day you may need your old family to lean on.
