A relaxing day at the beach, deep sea fishing out in the Gulf of Mexico or a day with the kids at the zoo are all part of what make up Naples, Florida. If you loathe for tranquility at it's best, Naples, Florida can fulfill this need. The white, sugary sand is some of the finest that you will ever experience. The Naples Fishing Pier extends out 1,000 feet along the beach and is an awesome way to view a true Florida sunset.
If you want to take a short 30 minute drive to Everglades National Park for one day, you will get a taste of one of our nations finest National Parks. The Big Cypress National Preserve is also along this route and well worth the extra hour that it may take to drive this loop. The mossy trees, alligators and birds of every color are along this loop. The road itself is very bumpy and slow going.
The Southwestern part of Florida is home to many manatees. Double R's Manatee and Eco Tour is one that ventures out into the Gulf of Mexico on a pontoon covered boat. The boat ride is 2 1/2 hours long that starts right in the Florida Everglades. An educational experience for everyone in the family.
There are several art galleries within the Naples area. The Weatherburn Gallery is one of the largest galleries within the area. There are numerous galleries, too numerous too mention. When walking through the sophisticated streets of Naples you will encounter an art gallery or two. Many local artists have based their artwork on the natives that farmed throughout the Naples area.It was not until the early 1900's that wealthy people from up North started to transform Naples, Florida into the paradise that it is today. Entertainment goes hand in hand with the art galleries. Stoney's Steakhouse and Shane's Cabana Bar have live entertainment on several nights.
If you are traveling to Naples in the Summer. The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has free summertime jazz concerts right on the Gulf of Mexico. During the 4th of July, Naples has a traditional parade with the fireworks going off at 9:00 p.m. that can be viewed from the Naples Fishing Pier.
From the wood stork to the blue heron, the birding is absolutely some of the best in the world. Each step you walk on the silky beach, a star fish or sand dollar could easily wash upon your feet. You will had to look twice, because you may note believe what you are seeing. The clear blue skies, clear water, calm water is some of the best in the world. Shells are everywhere. If you like to collect shells, you will not be disappointed.
There are more than 90 golf courses within the surrounding Naples area of Collier County. If you are an avid golfer, you will not be disappointed. This paradise is just the right temperature for golfing all year around and you will not be disappointed.
There will not be any time for boredom when you and your family decide to visit the Naples, Florida area. The beach will draw you in and you will feel as though you are a part of the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy your visit and take it all in! Remember, there are 21,000 people that have permanent homes in Naples. There are also several thousand people that are just like you, a visitor for a few days, weeks, or months. Learn the new meaning of Paradise Coast by visiting Naples, Florida and take in the most beautiful sunset that you will ever experience.
