Table Rock Lake is situated next to Branson, Missouri and it offers a few different theme parks to include Silver Dollar City, Celebration City, and White Water. It also offers the Showboat Branson Belle which travels on Table Rock Lake, and Ride the Ducks, which travels through town and out onto either Table Rock Lake or Lake Taneycomo.

Imagine going on vacation in scenic and family oriented Branson, Missouri. There are innumerable shows to go see or venture to the top of the mountains surrounding the valley of Branson and you will encounter theme parks that the family will enjoy, as long as you aren't afraid of heights. At the top of the mountains is a theme park called Silver Dollar City, with rides and games just like a normal theme park. The only exception is that when you ride the extreme rides you are on the side of a mountain. For the person afraid of heights, this could induce a heart attack. The theme of the park is the 1880's with old wagons, wood smiths, black smiths and much more. There is a glass blower, that will leave you enchanted as you watch him create elaborate works of art. The children will enjoy the simplicity of the time from the train ride through the park or the giant barn swing. As long as you aren't faint of heart, you will enjoy this theme park.

You can enjoy standing on the bridge while you children or significant other rides the American Plunge. The best part is that while you are standing on the bridge waiting for them to finish, you can use the squirt gun and ensure that they get wet. As if you don't think they are wet enough. If water rides are your thing, they you can also enjoy the traditional water rapids ride. At Silver Dollar City it is called The Lost River of the Ozarks, but don't worry you won't get lost...too much. They also have The Flooded Mine, where you can compete against the other people in your group to see who can shoot the most targets, but don't gloat until you win, or you might be ambushed.

If thrill rides are your favorite part of theme parks then you will enjoy Silver Dollar City. Besides the Giant Swing, they have five other thrill rides. Wildfire will twist and turn you as you sit on the edge of the mountain. This is a fast paced roller coaster that will put your stomach in your throat as it goes 66 miles per hour. If you want a ride that will blow your socks off then you will want to try the PowderKeg. The rides is quick, it goes 0 to 53 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. This ride might leave you a little hot in the collar. If you prefer an indoor roller coaster then you will enjoy Fire in the Hole. It is themed after a town being set abla e by the Baldknobbers. The final thrill ride is Thunderation, which drops you 80 feet but offers a wonderful scenic view of the surrounding Ozarks.

There are family rides, concessions, midway games and shows to round out the entertainment at Silver Dollar City. It is a fun place to bring the family while still enjoying the beautiful Ozark Mountains.
