Like an Angel strives to please
That's me
Like an unhappy man
That's you
Complaints I can't take
you leave me lonely for compliments
An Angel striving to please
That's me
but I can't please you
Still I try
Like an Angel
Fallen from the sky
I can't please you
But I still try
Continuing to fall from the sky
Once on a high with you
Now I'm wingless
Falling to earth
Are you just out of my reach
My feet touch ground
Mortal men all around
Happiness can be found
I'm no Angel
You're no super being
You're just a man complaining to me
I'm awake now
And ready to leave
You see, I knkow you're wrong
Search for me
I'm long gone
You were once my high
But now I'm straight
No longer an addict
And no longer your mate

She waits silently.
