Poetry: Religious

Lord I just want to savor,
The flavor of your unmerited favor.
Though the cattle on a thousand hills are yours,
Will you let it rain or even pour

The unmerited flavor of your favor?
Time has gone by and I haven't savored,
The blessings you said that will come down,
Before we become heaven bound.

A little of heaven on earth is all I ask,
This for You, I know is no great task.
You said seek and you shall find,
Help me Lord to open my mind,

To see the riches you have in store for me,
Not just to be among the wealthy.
But to set me free from this drudgery,
Of bills and other menageries.

Help me Lord to run this race,
And continue to hold on to my faith,
Eye have not seen nor ears have not heard,
Please dear Lord, please keep your word.
