When I looked at you and you looked at me
I thought about reflection, reversed with possibility
Was I really seeing you, as others might construe
or was it just my interpretation, my view askew
Spotted and tarnished, mirror on the wall
what is this I see, I don't recall

distorted visions of my self, concerns
When light is dim, feeling blue
which is me I ask, and who are you
On days of well being, cheer and luster
I glance at you, my coy and bashful buster
On days of gloom, I frown and question
within my mortal realms of digestion
Please, let the truth of me be told
this lonely image, that only we behold
Let us join and rejoice together, my humble friend
this constant battle of me and you, must end
