Bush and his brainless posse fell right into Bin Laden's trap. We did exactly what he wanted us to do when we invaded Iraq. Osama would like to take over a country and ultimately, the world. To do this he needs recruits. His best recruiting previously was when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. He Knew that if he could get America to invade a Middle East country he could say "See, I told you those Americans want to take over and occupy your country for the oil". "You must resist". Not only does he have many new recruits but they do not have the challenge of getting into this country to kill Americans. We are coming to them. The Republicans are still being played like a fiddle. They are to ignorant to realize it. When Bin Laden or some other terrorist comes out before an election and says they want the Democrats to win or how much they hate Bush, they are doing so because they really want the Republicans to stay in power and Americans to stay in Iraq. It helps their cause tremendously and they don't want to see it end.
Even if Saddam had WMD we should not have went in to Iraq. Saddam did not build those 20 palaces for the man who would follow him. When people have tremendous wealth and power they do not want to give it up. He was not stupid. He knew that if he had done anything to us or if his "fingerprints" were on any weapons given to terrorists and could be traced back to him, he would be dead. We would blow him off the face of the earth. That is why the Soviets never tried it with us. The only country in history to use a nuke on another country is America. Saddam or other terrorists do not have a way to fire off a weapon from the Middle East and get it to America. What are they going to do, bring them over on a boat and fire them off the coast? Other than using a missile or propulsion system there have never in history been mass deaths from Chemical or biological weapons. Tokyo subway - 8 dead.
America has turned into a country of neurotic and paranoid cowards. Many people are so scared that the big bad boogey man is going to come get them that they are willing to give away our freedom, rip up the Constitution and Geneva convention and sacrifice our kids. We have went from what is called the "greatest generation" to one of the worst generations. History will judge us very harshly if we do not change our ways, and rightfully so. Our legacy will be as a bunch of gutless, spineless cowards who only cared about themselves and could not deal with their neurotic
