I'ma sista
Just try-n to get ahead
Jumping hurdles
Feeling like I'm in the Indy 500
On my knees
Hands together to the lord I pray
I know I'm a sinner
My knees I don't get down on everyday
When the weight on my shoulders
Have me feeling like I'm bout to break
I wanna put in your hands and walk away, walk away
Thinking about the lords last supper
When he took, blessed, broke, and gave the bread
So in our daily lives
We all go through
A taking, blessing, breaking, and giving time
The Lords way
Saying there is a plan, a reason for each one of our lives
Know yours?
Not sure I know mine
It will come one-day maybe not until I'm gone
So until then
I'm just trying to get ahead
Running, racing like I'm in the indy500
On my knees, hands together to the Lord I pray
Good thing he knows my heart
Cause if I forget
He knows what part.

Poetry: In God's hands
by Kathy Ballew
Why don’t you say, you’ve had a bad day
When it’s true, that you often do?
Why can’t you tell, you’re
I could fret and worry just about every day
But instead I choose just to kneel down and pray
I could let my anger build
by April Self
The hands that shaped the world's creation,
the giver of my writing inspiration.
His strong fingers that soothe a worried
In God's hand my life is held,
With every breath that I take.
From the very start of day,
When I begin to awake.
I know
by Tammy A
I stand before you, Lord
In Your presence I should feel shame
Knowing I fall short of your glory
That I have strayed too far
