Anger and Melancholy
My thoughts seem malformed, cradled in anger
And my senses languish in drab melancholy
As your burnt offering decays on the floor
The stench of your lies fills the recesses of my mind
And my heart freezes; never to allow another to enter
Curled naked, my soul lays scorched and dying
My thoughts seem distorted, cradled in anger
And my senses languish in drab melancholy
As you take your bow and depart without remorse
You lack compunction, your conscience is clear
And you care not for whom your schemes slaughter
So the trail of carnage grows long and wide
My thoughts seem misshapen, cradled in anger
And my senses languish in drab melancholy
As I reel from the pain of love lost and trust betrayed
Retching on the floor consumed in agony
Your works now done; you walk away!
