Whoa! I ran track and jogged how I would love to be able to run again. Feel the wind blowing though my hair. I rode a bike to the store or to the park. It would be great to go bowling. I always bowled on a league. It was good exercise and I made a lot of great friends. It makes me cringe just to think of throwing a bowling ball that weights 9lbs. Hey, I even used to ride a skateboard. I fell down a lot of times but it was always good for a laugh.

I alas am getting old. At 57 my body no longer can keep up with my young mind. For I am still young at heart. I can always sit and watch sports on television. Or stand by at the park and marvel at other people that are younger and healthier.

I had a heart attack two years ago so about all I can do now is go for walks in the mall. I hurt from my head all the way down to my toes. My bones are always popping and creaking. Sometimes it's a chore just to get out of bed. My life is full of aches and pains.

I always take my medications. I eat good nutritious food when I have an appetite that is. Even with doing all that it is still a hard thing to take the daily tasks let alone get the exercise I really need.

When I had the heart attack the doctors all said I would be fine. But I sure wish I could go back in time and maybe do something different. The question is what could that be? In my heart and mind I though I did it all right. I lost weight, went back to school, had a job, fell in love. I had it all. Now I can barely walk but I am still alive.

I can't get a job because no one will hire me. I didn't graduate from college. I still have a lot of knowledge to use. Thank goodness I still have love. Love has always lot to me.I have been in love as far back as I can remember. It inspires me to do things I otherwise wouldn't do. My writing helps me too. It relieves my stress. It keeps me thinking. I shall continue my in my writing career and prosper from it.

I leave you with this all and I don't care as much about sports as I used to. I don't have to have sports in my life. I have lots of other things to occupy me. I look forward to watching the sports channel and education shows. I love to ride the bus. So I will and can go on without actually playing sports.

Please don't take your health for granted. Do all you can to stay as fit as possible. Walk when you can ride. Start an excise program. Try to eat healthy foods as much as possible. You have a long rewarding life ahead of you.
