Christian eschatology: Will the upcoming US presidential election signify any end time events?

The signs of the time seem to indicate that every thing that is happening is indicative of the end time. Signs such as the erratic weather, fire storms; food shortages; economic problems worldwide; earthquakes, rumbling of war and fighting between Iran and Israel which could issue in the 3rd World War. No man can say what signifies "end time events" because we all know the time is shorter than it has once been. The upcoming elections for a president does not signify end time events, there has been talk of end time events since the September 11 attack. There are quotes of President George Bush saying God has spoken to him. Check the website indicated in this article. Historians and journalist have been alarmed at the impact "end-time" thinking has had on George Bush's Middle East policies. Man has not believed that God would come back and declare unto His creation- time to be no more. There is an article you can find online called "Does Eschatology Matter," written by David B. Curtis. This article is very insightful and has some valuable commentary. We have been moving to this point in time, since time, and with a purpose in mind. There are so many striking repeats of history, as well as historical firsts, associated with the particular presidential race.

According to the Holy Bible, no additional event need to take place before the church could be "caught" up to meet Jesus Christ Our Redeemer. We await, His appearing. There are earthquakes happening in the world, there are cyclones occurring in our midst and thousand of people are dying. Jim Crow white people might think having a black man running for the presidency signifies "end time event."
Probably those of us who are waiting for enlightenment should keep in mind that God's purpose will be come to pass and it will be one time, in time. It may be that some people who are still disposed to intolerance but think they are candidates for heaven, may not make it for lack of loving others as themselves. The Word of God clearly states that when Jesus Christ returns to earth the second time, This is clearly stated in I Thessalonians 4:16.

There are many scenarios that we feel are the "beginnings of sorrow." The whole world is watching our American politics. They are looking to see if we are true champions of "democracy." They want to see will we fail the test. We have a black
