CHILDREN'S BOOKS ABOUT SPRINGTIME

Springtime is a beautiful time of year, when flowers are blooming and everything is green. The smell in the air is filed with different aromas of all the gorgeous blooming plants and flowers and it is a great time to get in touch and enjoy nature. Here are some great children's books to enjoy about springtime and the beauty behind it.

EATER BUGS: A SPRINGTIME POP UP - AUTHOR - DAVID A CARTER

A very fun poop up book for younger children to enjoy which embodies springtime. Pop up books have always been a favorite when my children were small as they are entertaining. They keep children interested in the book. This one has a bunch of different bugs hiding behind different easter eggs through out the book.

WAKE ME IN SPRING - AUTHOR - JAMES PRELLER

I love this story as it showcases an unlikely pair of friends, a bear and a mouse. Mouse has to tuck bear in as he gets ready to hibernate and wake up in the springtime. Mouse is sad bear is going to sleep but allows bear to do so. Very cute book that shows children if the most unlikely animals can be friends then people too, can be different and be friends. Lovely story and great pictures done by Jeffery Scherer.

THE NIGHT BEFORE EASTER - NATASHA WING

Easter is always in springtime, so this lovely story is great for springtime. It is about the easter bunny on the night before easter with his little chick assistance going around filling easter baskets. Very fun book as the children can also find the hidden eggs throughout the pages.

COUNTING IN THE GARDEN - AUTHOR - KIM PARKER

This counting book is great for children to help them learn to count. It shows an array of different bugs, birds, and bunnies. It is a pretty book with colorful pages to keep children interested. The pictures were also created by the author Kim Parker.

FROM SEED TO PLANT - AUTHOR - GAIL GIBBONS

This story is a fun one for younger children as it shows them the stages in plant reprodution. It is very clear and to the point about plants and how they grow. I like the pictures and the way it is enjoyable and easy to understand. Since springtime is a great time of year to plant plants, I think this is a great springtime book for children.

IT'S SPRING! - AUTHOR - SAMANTHA BERGER AND PAMELA CHANKO

This cute rhyming book shows the excitement of springtime. The bunny is happy it is springtime and hops around to tell all his friends the good news. This book is great for springtime since it showcases all the great things about spring. Very fun and catchy rhyming kids are sure to love.

I hope you enjoy these books as much as my children and myself still do! Reading is so much fun and should be done as often as you can with your children. Not only is it a great bonding experience, but it is a fun way to relax and get lost in a good book.
