What is it that you look for when deciding to plan your get away. Is it making sure that there is something for all the kids to do or is that you have some one on one time. Do you check to make sure there are plenty of places to visit and site see or is it that you make sure there is someplace near by to shop at. Looking for a cozy quiet restaurant for two or the local pizza place that will seat all 4 kids. Well if these are some of things that you look for when choosing where to spend your next vacation. Why not look into Lake Of The Ozarks in Missouri. Here you will find plenty of places to stop and smell the flowers.

A must see that everyone recommends that you check out is the well known Bagnell Dam. It is the largest man made lake in the Midwestern U.S. The Bagnell Dam completion was in 1931. The Lake offers more than 1,100 miles of shoreline and spreads through out 4 different counties in Missouri. You will also find over 150 local restaurants to choose from. Many of them are locally owned and family operated. You will find a few franchise places to choose from.

While visiting you may want to stop and visit the 2 state parks. The largest of the 2 is Grand Glaize State Park and a new state park called Ha Ha Tonka. You might find it interesting to stop in and visit the newly restored Wilmore Lodge home to the Chamber of Commerce. If you like to see caves why not check out the underground caverns. While you are out visiting the many places stop why not stop in to see The Historic Bagnell Strip, a mile long strip with large arcades and baseball hitting machines. You will find a place to ride some rides and a haunted hotel.

At night why not find a place to take a cruise on the lake. At night time this strip turns into a 60's hot spot. You will find many teens sitting on their cars enjoying the night air and driving up and down the strip. Enjoy a nice night at the local ice cream shop and watch the sun go down lighting up the water on the lake.

The kids will enjoy one of the many 11 mini golf courses and 9 go kart sites. There are 5 large arcades to choose from. You will also find a water park and 6 fun parks. All of these places you will find to be a really enjoyable vacation spot that you will find to be really affordable. You will find that the state parks to be a great place to stop and drop a line in the water whether you are sitting on a dock with your kids and their poles or you and your wife of many years rent a boat and go out to one of the many places to drop your line in the lake to reel in a largemouth bass. You will find many places to visit.

You will find many places to rent whether you are looking for a hotel or motel. If you are looking for something a little more private than you might check into renting a houseboat or looking into a private condo. All of these choices are reasonable in price. What every it is that you are looking for you will find all of it in The Lakes of The Ozarks in Missouri.
