Faith Miracles

I remember the day that I asked for God's intervention and He did. God saved my life when I was unsure if He really existed or if I had just been following a traditional belief. It was no other explanation than miracle that can explain how God revealed to me his power. I know now without a doubt that God is real and that he is my salvation. I was twenty at the time but I was making my own money living in a town on my own and I just knew that I was on top of the world. During this phase of my life I was beginning to learn about how God operates. I began to read the Bible daily and go to church. I was a new member in a local church. I was living in a major city in the South alone. So I was happy to meet some nice southern people with good manners and hospitality. I did not understand that life is filled with opportunities for a person to strengthen their faith in God. God reveals himself in many ways in our lives and he will always be there when you need him.

To make a long story short I was friends with Johnny. He was a married man with a newborn child. He was a minister of music at our local church and the chef at the deli on our job. At twenty that was safe. He seemed like a safe bet not someone who would be interested in a relationship or anything else for that matter. My coworker, minister friend drove me down a path but he was not interested in righteousness. He was looking for a lover. I was not interested and told him so and he did not like my answer. He began to make threats and he drove to some area of town that was dark and far from home. I knew I was in danger but I also knew that the God I believed in would not let something horrible happen on this day. I began to pray. I prayed like I never had before. I didn't really know what words to say but I began to shout out the name of Jesus as loud as I could. I said the name of Jesus for what seemed like thirty minutes. All the while this guy was saying very vile things and driving at a speed I thought only NASCAR drivers could achieve. I closed my eyes and continued to shout out "JESUS" until we reached the front of my apartment complex. I don't know if I have ever run that fast before or ever been that scared but I knew one thing for sure. I knew that God stepped in on my behalf on that day. Whenever I think back on that day I remember that my faith in the name of Jesus was solid after that day and that I experienced a miracle.
