The reasons why bad things happen to good people is a mystery only God can explain, but God tends to be a bit mysterious. It's a fact that life will never be fair and square for each and every human being, so we have to rely on faith and sometimes blindly. Still, because it's also true that we are only human, we tend to dwell within our grief while asking God, "Why do bad things happen to good people?"
THE POSSIBILITIES:
1. A mystery means that something is mis-perceived.
It could be that since we can't understand the mystery behind God's commands, we choose to believe a happening is a bad thing, when the truth might be completely mis-perceived just because we are only human beings. There might be a blessing in disguise left behind every demise, so it's possible that we can't see the good in bad things only because we need to find faith. If we understood everything, we'd have no need to blindly follow God's lead, so maybe we need to believe differently. The next time a demise comes to our life, maybe we should try to see the gift God left behind it.
2. God gave free will to humanity.
Due to the diversity of human beings, along with our will that's free to choose what we say and do, we sometimes run into bad people, things and happenings. When we do, it feels as if God picked us out of a crowd, so we say, "Why me?" Still, it could be that our feelings have nothing to do with reality. Stuff simply happens when you mix diversity with free will, so the key to surviving any bad happening is to choose to feel detached from bad and try to see the reality behind the bad act. Maybe we simply take bad things too personally? If we knew the truth, it could be that we will see the bad happening differently.
I know how confusing it is, so just remember this: God can take bad things and turn them into good things, but we have to ask and faithfully believe before we can receive any good thing. That's why I believe faith is the key for good people to use to turn bad things around where peace of mind is found.
3. Thoughts become things.
The worst enemy of each and every human being is fear. People become afraid every day and fear doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care if you are good or bad. It simply reacts to what you think and believe. It's the law of attraction thing, I believe, and thoughts do become things.
Take me, for example:
I consider myself a good human being. I
