Preventing and reducing acne does not have to cost a lot of money, or stress. You don't have to keep trying different products, searching for one that finally works for you. There are a lot of natural remedies that work wonders for your skin!
But before I get to the specifics, lets talk about how you should actually wash your face. Many people debate whether to use cold or hot water when you wash your face. I'll join in the debate and say I use both! Before applying your soap or cleanser, splash some hot water onto your face. This will open your pores and allow the cleanser to get deeper into your skin, and clean it better. Then, after massaging in the cleanser wash it away with a couple splashes of warm water. To finish up your routine, take some time to splash lots of cold water on your face. This closes your pores and makes them harder for all the bad stuff to get back under your skin!
So when washing away some of these remedies, first use hot water, then cold to finish up!
One simple thing you can do to help reduce pimples and blemishes is to rub ice on your face before you go to bed. This tightens the pores and reduces swelling and redness of the pimples.
Something else you can do for your skin is combine milk and ground nutmeg, and apply it directly to the acne. I think you'll be surprised how well this works for your skin!
Another very easy thing you can do for your skin is grate a potato and apply it to the affected area for about 30 minutes. Potatos really help bring down the swelling of acnes.
There is also a great facial scrub you can make with just vinegar and salt! After you mix the two, just apply it to a cotton ball and rub it all over your face. Let that sit for 30 minutes, then wash it off with cold water.
One of the best ways to rid yourself of acne is to crush garlic and dab that onto the acne a few times a day. You can also use Garlic juice. The smell isn't the best, but it really works!
And finally, a remedy that works for me is an easily made facial mask. Just combine some honey and aloe vera, mix it well, and apply it to your face. Leave it on anywhere between 30-45 minutes. I saw some pretty dramatic results in a couple of days! It was great!
