Herbs, roots, resins, flowers and spices are used by many witches in their spellcrafting, and a great many of the spells and rituals in published books of magick require exotic and expensive ingredients that are getting harder to afford. However, a trip to the grocery store or a peek into your own kitchen cupboard will likely yield everything necessary to work your magickal will without emptying your bank account.

Let's start with a common spice: allspice (Pimenta officinalis or Pimenta diocia) is also known as Jamaican pepper or myrtle pepper. Allspice is a flavoring used in both sweet and savory dishes. In the magickal tradition, it is associated with the planet Mars and the element of Fire, so it is perfect to use for money spells.

Remember, a spell is not a substitute for earning your money the old-fashioned mundane way. There are no short-cuts, no instant get-rich-quick magick that will make you win the lottery or pick the winning horse at the races. Magick doesn't work that way. Keep your expectations within reason, and don't forget the more energy you put into it, the more you get out of it. If your spell doesn't have the expected result the first time, try again.

MONEY DRAWING POWDER

When the moon is waxing (that is, during the cycle when the moon is increasing rather than getting smaller) take equal amounts of allspice berries, dried basil and cinnamon (about a teaspoon will do for a start) and grind together either in a pestle and mortar or spice grinder to form a powder. Place in a bowl. Put both hands over the bowl, close your eyes, and visualize the front door of your house opening and a torrent of money flying inside, coming to rest inside your wallet. Store powder in a tightly sealed box or jar.

What can you do with money drawing powder?

Dab a bit of powder on the money (bills) in your possession; this will help the money find its way back to you after you spend it. Sew a pinch into a green cloth sachet tied with a gold thread and carry on your person or in your purse to help you gain financial success in your daily interactions. Up for a raise or a promotion? Rub the tiniest bit of powder on your palms, and be sure to shake your boss's hand. Dissolve the powder in a warm bath and soak in the water for ten minutes to absorb the energies before going to a new job interview. Keep some powder in the cash register of your business to aid in increasing your revenue.

There are many many other spells for prosperity and financial increase. If one spell doesn't work for you, another might be more compatible.
