Looking at dieting and fast weight loss: How sensible are fast diets

Hey folks, I will try not to get too scientific here because not only is it easier for you to understand and absorb but it is a more direct approach. I have just recently lost 15 pounds of winter blubber. I do it every year at around this time. I simply decided that I was going to have to recondition my stomach so that I would be less hungry less often. I started by getting rid of all of the junk food that was in my house. I love munching on treats well into the early morning hours. For some reason eating fatty foods go hand in hand with sitting on the couch and watching television. It is a trap and we all fall into it.

It took about 3 days of hunger pains to shrink my stomach back to the point where I felt that I had the appetite of an average healthy individual. Down 15 pounds at this point many new considerations now come into fruition. I can now decide if I want to continue doing what I have been doing and lose some more weight. It is hard to lose weight when you eat alot of cheese, bread, beef, and fried foods. Its even tougher when your favorite foods are sugary treats like candy, pop, and some juices. I say some juices because there are healthy juices that are out there and they are the ones that contain less sugar.

In order to be serious about losing a large sum of weight in a short period of time you will have to buy in on the fact that you really can do this. Fast diets are incredibly sensible at first glance but the problem with fast diets is that rather then losing the weight fast you should be thinking about more achievable goals. You cant keep up on a fats pace weight loss regime because eventually you will get worn out and want to quit altogether. Slow and steady always wins the race but I do believe losing up to 20 pounds in a month is doable because I do it every single year when the weather warms up.

In order not to shock your system you still must eat every day but when you thinkits time to stop eating you damn well need to stop. You have to train your brain. Once you start seeing a slimmer appearance in the mirror your self confidence will begin to skyrocket and you will wonder why you did not try to lose those extra pounds any sooner. Throughout the whole weight loss process you will need to have fruits and vegetables in your diet. You will also have to drink lots and lots of water. Finally, try to get outside and for a 15 minute walk each and every day. Once you start building healthy habits and substitute them for your old habits not only will your body thank you but you will look good.
