Here's a riddle:
I live in a blended family, yet my parents are not divorced, have never been married before, and have never had children before. There are four types of "groups" in my family, yet we're all the same race. What is my family?
We are the adopted, the biological, the foster kids, and the kid just living with the family.
I don't know of anyone who is much like us. There are two foster boys, two adopted girls, and one adopted boy, three biological girls ( That's me! ) And one living with us.
Here's some information about us: ( Please not I will not being hiding the names of the people who committed horrid crimes against these children, they do not deserve it. )
First there's Ben, Jessica, and Sandra, who arrived at our home at around twelve thirty a.m.
They lived in a nice, quiet home, where no one would've guessed that such awful things could be happening inside of it. Their Father was a police officer, their Mother was a house wife. And although she was deaf, she seemed to be quite capable of taking care of them.
They were in a home that had sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. There Father, Jim brought all of this about. I will not bring up the graphic, brutal events that happened in this house, that's not necessary, but I will tell you about their home life. He was the worst with the middle child: Jessica, he would brutally abuse her, multiple times, without any emotion, or compassion. Then there was Ben, the oldest. Who felt it was partially his fault because he did not stop his Father from abusing him and his sisters. Their Mother participated in little, but not none of this abuse. Only the sexual abuse. She saw her husband do it, and decided it would be OK for her to do it too. The babysitter discovered some tapes of this abuse, called the police, and they were taken away. Jim was fired from the force, and is not able to come in the same state as them. Andrea, she was found not guilt, but left them here with us anyway.
They still remain in contact with her, but my parents try to keep this at a minimum because she's always promising that she'll come soon, but never does. Once every few years, Ben will have a nightmare that his Father will come back and take him and his sisters. This puts a scar on him and takes a long time for him to recover from it. He refuses to acknowledge him as his parent, he rather says: The man that helped out a little in my creation. Sandra, the youngest, will also cry because she misses her Mother, followed by Jessica.
