MY RELIEF IN DISGUISE
Sobbing in my room
Curled up in a ball
Wondering if my life
Was worth it at all
Caressing my scissors
Thinking a horrible thought
Wanting to hurt myself
Knowing I should not
The first scrape was the hardest
But I quickly found
That each scrape felt better
Than any drug around
And as with any drug
You soon find you can't stop
No matter how wrong it is
It's a habit you can't drop
So now I wear long sleeves
And tell creative lies
For this is something no one can know
Because they'll stop my relief in disguise
