Get A Life

Numb and freezing
You make your way towards the motel,
No belief that
There's escape from this old hell.
You've been here before, You know how it's all done.
You can't make it stop, and there's nowhere to run.
Why not accept that life's skipping over you?
It's better than raising hopes that will just fall when you do.

What's the point of trying
When no matter how hard you try

You never get in?
Why give it your all
When it's never enough?
What's the point of wasting your tears
When you're still right here,
And nobody cares?
It's time to move on and get a life.
So just move on and get a life.

Bruised and beaten
You've wondered when it's gonna end,
But you see then
Fortune never was your friend.
You hear the voice screaming in your head,
"Wake up, read the facts, baby, hope is dead."
Haha, people are laughing at the blows you've dealt.
Pull yourself together as you think to yourself:

What's the point of trying
When no matter how hard you try

Why give it your all
When it's never enough?
What's the point of wasting your tears
When you're still right here,
And nobody cares?
It's time to move on and get a life.

You dream and you scream, but
Nothing happens when you do.
It seems like your prayers might
Make something happen now for you.
Don't let it get you down,

Show the world that you dare.
The end is always closer than it seems,
So if you give up now, you'll lose your will to dream.
Defy the stars and someday you'll see:
Results will come when you defeat Defeat.

So maybe that's why I'm trying,
Because I know if I try really hard, someday I'll get in.
That's why I give it my all,
Cause pretty soon it'll be enogh.
Then I won't have to waste any tears,

And then they'll care.
