It was nice to see you
We had so much to say
We shared our thoughts and words
And then you went a way

Too long since we last talked
It will be longer still
I never liked good-byes
I know I never will

But it's what I didn't tell you
I should have said out loud
Like how you make me feel

There are so many feelings
Limited by my mere words
It's the blending of our souls

The merging of our worlds
The things I didn't say
They're tearing me apart
Perhaps you would have stayed
If I said I love you with all my heart

I enjoyed our coffee at the inn
And our conversation, too
I don't recall what I said
I was dreaming about you

In my dreams we flew
Off to another land
A private beach for us
Footsteps in the sand
