Colossians 1:15-19 (New King James Version) "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell."
One revelation of heaven I believe is we will be like our Savior Jesus Christ. 1 John 3:2 (New King James Version) "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is."
We are our Savior's glory and the rewards we will receive from Jesus when He returns will be crowns that reflect our Savior's eternal nature. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (New King James Version) "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." 1 Peter 4:11 (New King James Version) "If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
As for the elect who work in the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, there is a parable I believe gives an insight of God's rewarding system of works. Matthew 20:1-16 The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. The crowns or rewards we will receive from Jesus when He returns are crowns that reflect His glory in us. God is eternal.
The crown of eternal life James 1:12 (New King James Version Bible) "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." To love Him is to desire to be like Him and obedient to the Lord Jesus Christ. In order to endure temptation and be like Jesus God must dwell in us in strength and power. For God has granted us according to the riches of His glory. He strengthens us with might through His Spirit in our inner self. Ephesians 3:16, Colossians 1:11. 1 Peter 5:10 (New King James Version Bible) "But
