Life is a fleeting butterfly,
Frolicking in the glow of the sun
Seeking meaning in the blue sky.
Life is the green of the leaves;
Both offering and in need of sustenance,
Growing older, establishing beliefs.
Life is the thin raspy pages of the Book,
Worn with constant devotion and perusal;
A source of wisdom worth many looks.
Life is the ephemeral Persephone,
Winter, spring, summer, fall
Held captive, and then set free.
Life is the many flavors,
Within a rainbow sherbet;
Sweet, sour, and at times bitter.
Life is that fortune cookie
With bits of the Chinese language;
Seemingly useless yet coming in handy.
Life is life: everything; yours.
Follow that winding path; take the forks in the road.
Marvel at the sunsets, the trees, the butterflies.
Look within yourself; find your destination.
Welcome your fears, embrace the unknown: love.
Live.

As delicate as the breezing wind,
As strong as the storming gale,
As confident and radiant as the shinning sun,
As mysterious
