Fish make good pets for a variety of different reasons. Firstly, sitting back and watching their in-born fish behavior is quite captivating. In keeping a pet fish you are able to get a close up view of what its like in their small world, what makes fish happy, and what drives a fish to act out in certain ways. There is no sense of touch that you can get with having a fish and so long bonding-filled cuddle sessions are unfortunately out of the question. Instead of hands on fun the owner of a fish gets to essentially view the day to day life of the fish. Many fish are so colorful that it is an awe-inspiring to have these bright creatures swimming before you in your bedroom.
I would recommend having a fish as a pet if you are a person who greatly enjoys gardening. The reason I suggest this is because people who love the plants (which do not technically love them back) are able to feel a bond with something that can not outwardly show them reciprocal affection. If you are a deep thinker who is often content to ponder in the room of your choice then you are also a great candidate to have an aquarium full of fish in your home. Watching the fish in their aquarium can lead to incredibly introspective and deep thought which is healthy for all of us as humans. In fact, adding an aquarium to your environment can help people with Attention Deficit Disorder and other hyper-activity disorders. I love to just sit in my favorite comfy chair and ponder about my life and the fact that my fish add an interesting sparkle to my general environment just helps me focus even more clearly. Fish are great to consider as pets because they don't require your constant attention but you will have to keep their environment healthy and feed them on a regular schedule.
Fish are just like anything in that if you treat them well (IE. feeding them properly and checking aquarium conditions) they will thrive and become a constant familiar site within your living environment. Fish are the easiest of pets to maintain and as mentioned come in every color you can imagine. The most colorful larger fish (known as tropical fish) are a great deal more expensive then many of the other fish you see at the store but I suggest that if you are considering buying fish that you look into getting one of these guys because the colors bring you the beauty of a rainbow every time you look up. You may do some of your best working, thinking, and meditating in a room that has an aquarium. Finally you should know that the main reason people have aquariums in their businesses for the public to see is that there is something about looking in a fish tank that is relaxing for the soul just as the garden can be. Fish can't give hugs but they sure can offer you alot of other great things. Examining your personality type should help you decipher whether this may be the kind of pet thats best for you.
