The cold wind was beating against my face. I reached for the knob on the door and slowly turned it, while slightly pushing in on the door. It then swung open with a WHAM! As if it was welcoming us into its lonely halls. My friends and I entered the abandoned building. BOOM, echoed the halls when Freddy dropped the basketball. Giggles filled the air after the three of us began a game of tag in the abandoned middle school's halls. No one knew why this wonderful building had been abandon, but there were many stories spread about what could have been. Some say it was haunted others say it was due to mildew growing inside the walls.
We didn't care for either situation. None of us believed in the supernatural, and little mildew never hurt anyone. We continued our path down the musky halls towards our destination.
We arrived in the gym and flipped the light switch. They flickered like candle lights in a Jack-O-Lantern on Halloween. We were all gagging from the merciless dust particles that filled the air.
We gathered at center court and as I was just about to toss the ball in the air to begin our game, we heard the laughter of children. We all froze in the moment, we were as still as a statue. AHHHHHHH! Out of the blue, as the laughter ceased, a little boy's cry for help filled the air. "Help me, cried the boy, please don't hurt me!"

Silence fell over all, like a cocoon wrapping us in terror. Susan, our blonde headed friend (whom reminded us of a life sized Barbie doll), ran screaming. Freddy and I exchanged worried glances.
Once more, the screaming of the little boy emerged from the locker rooms. I began to head towards the voice, I glanced back at Fred, he was still frozen in terror. I signaled for him to come. He slid his feet across the old oak floors as if he were an ice skater. I continued to tip-toe towards the devastation.
Once we reached the door way to the locker rooms we heard a familiar voice "Go back while you can," It warned. The anonymous voice sounded so lifeless and scared, it decreased to almost a whisper. Ignoring the cautious warning we continued into the old rooms.
As we entered the odor of mildew filled the air. Dust gaged us, and the lights were so dim we had to let our eyes adjust. The tempeture suddely dropped. In an instance the wind was whiling around our heads, whispering in our ears. In spite of the few changes we decided to continue our journey.
As we entered the shadows a medely of voices were pounding into our brains. Out of the blue a poof of fire appeared before our eyes, and a short plunp man emerged from it. "You're to late," he declared....
