When I think about how to make money with a website, I think of Affiliate programs like, Zazzle, Ebay, and Amazon.com. When thinking about how to make money with a website, think big, and imagine that you will be making thousands of dollars a month. Otherwise, what's the point, why when do it. From experience of making money from my own website, my belief is that, if you think small, and believe that you won't make very much money that day, then you won't probably make a dime. Or, a dime might just be all you make. However, if you believe that you'll make a $100 dollars in one day, and you put forth the action, then you're more then likely to either reach your goal or come close to reaching it for that day.

Now, I wanna make sure that I highlight the term ( put forth action), because a lot of my friends and family, had this crazy, hair brain idea, that I could make money from my own website by not doing anything. Let me tell you that not doing anything, won't get you anything. A person that is trying to make money on their website, will need to put in at least 45 hours a day sitting at their computer, finding new and creative ways to market their website. I don't care what kind of business that a company or an individual has online, they will hafta learn how to market the products they're selling on their website, and this is a daily process. For example, here are two good reasons why you should obtain a website and how it can benefit you financially:

The First Reason is that a good number of People think that obtaining a website is expensive. However, if you go to MSN and type in Microsoft Office Live, you can obtain a website for free. See, you have nothing to loose. More importantly, it's easy to set up, and it looks very professional. Years ago, when I set up my website with Microsoft Office Live , I learned how professional and knowledgeable they truly are. One of the best things that I like, is the fact that I get emails from them on how to sell and make money with my website.
The Second reason is that once you obtain a free website, you can start adding affiliates from other companies on your Website and start earning some money, without doing back breaking labor.

In conclusion, I wanna add that the only way that people are gonna know about your products, is through you telling them where, and how they can find those products on your website. In this business of making money on a website, there is no room for being shy , and if you wanna make some real money, then you will hafta get a very thick skin, and know how to take rejection. In addition, treat your website, as you would a full-time job, and put in an eight hour or ten hour day. Furthermore, remind yourself that it is your job to inform people about your website, because money will not just drop outta the sky.
