Poetry: Mother

by Jose Trujillo

Created on: May 21, 2008

Sunlight on brown hair
the beauty of her stare
the way she would just sit with me
how wonderful her laughter of glee

I love her so

my smile and the sunshine outside

She taught me well
her pride would swell
when she knew that I had done good

I miss her more
every day
but I know I carry her in my heart
She is my mother
the matriarch
whom will show us the way
