Poetry: Rules

by Dan Warren

Warning: Do Not Read This Warning!

Resuscitation is not an option.
Breathing must be maintained,
Life assured.
Then it can't vanish.
Stepping on breakable ice will more than likely result in an extended period of time spent without breath.
Not stepping on breakable ice is boring.
Running into traffic can be deadly.
Breathing can be deadly.
Death can be lively.
You are not permitted to step beyond this area.
But you can if you want,
And you'll be shot.
The road is always slippery when wet,
What kind of idiot doesn't know that?
