Employment in retailing industry can be said to be very vast, ranging from cashiers to store managers going through consultant jobs. More than 100 job titles exist in this sector and can accommodate employees with various academic qualifications, certainly a sector which has to offer to most job-seekers. Why choose the retailing industry to make your career?

Firstly, the sector is an ever-expanding one, according to figures which has recorded a constant increase in sales revenue since 1993 and employment also has risen very much. The sector contributes to around 16% of US's national product, meaning that retailing is not volatile. The jobs will always be here and this factor might influence people to work in retailing for long term career prospects.

Secondly, the experience gathered in the sector is deemed very important making it very easy to move within the industry. A sales executive in a certain store can be appointed in the marketing team of another store since he has the required experience and qualifications. It also becomes easy to shift from one type of job to another without any hassles.
