It is true that the busy and complicated lifestyle that most people have within our Modern World cause them to eat foods that are not healthy. They eat on-the-run as their day progresses and they are usually too tired to cook a healthy and well balanced dinner after they finally return home from yet another truly busy day of hard work.
Little do they know that the saturated fat within those fast food meals is slowly but surely killing each and every person who eats nothing but fried foods the are loaded with saturated fats. Yes, those meals are yummy and they do fill you up as you eagerly consume the contents of those disposable containers.
As a matter of fact, over time, saturated fats clog arteries within your body and are a major cause for heart attacks and strokes. Therefore, it is wise to eat as little saturated fat as possible. If you like burgers, broiling the meat is the best way to cook such menu items and the meat itself should contain as little fat as possible.
The truth of the matter is that people should realize that eating healthy is no less important than working a full time job or whatever you choose to do during your day. What good is your quest to become rich if you don't live long enough to enjoy the rewards, like many years of life after you retire, of all of that hard work?
Vegetable oil or olive oil is the best oil to use for frying or deep frying your onion rings and French fries, or whatever you choose to cook in such a manner. Such cooking oils and/or salad oils are unsaturated fat products and do not clog your arteries because they are broken down by your digestive system and pass out of your body.
Like it or not, those of you who are too busy or too lazy to cook such healthy meals, or you cannot resist the taste of saturated fats, all of the money that you earn and save from your busy day will some day be spent for medical care. The truth is that many of you will not live long enough to collect Social Security.
The consumption of whole grains, fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and low fat meats that are broiled or roasted is truly the healthy way to live a long and a happy life. The consumption of processed foods is also nothing more than a direct route to an early grave.
The chemicals used to prepare and preserve such foods are truly harmful to your long term health. Things like MSG and some food dyes have proved to be harmful to some people and should be avoided if possible.
Just because something tastes good does not mean that it is good for you. Maybe that is why there are so many overweight people within our society. A while ago it was proved that the Oriental people live longer because they eat less saturated fat, and percentage wise, less of those people have heart attacks and/or strokes.
If we Westerners ate the same kinds of foods, no doubt, we would not be overweight and each of us would be a whole lot healthier, in terms of the percentage of people who remain healthy until their body passes away from old age. Sooner or later we will all pass away but while we are still alive our enjoyment of life truly does depend on how healthy we are. What will you cook and eat for your dinner tonight?
