Coffee and tea both contains caffeine, both are actually my best buddies to stay awake, especially when I am doing projects. I do admit having a liking for tea once in a while, smelling the aroma of tea makes me feel kind of alive for a moment. Especially for fruit teas, I love the smell of the refreshing, fruity smell. I don't want to elaborate too much on the tea, because I'll still have my love for coffee.
You might instantly feel that I am a tea lover. Sorry to inform you, actually I love the smell of coffee best. Smelling coffee can actually keep you feel awake and refreshed too, even without drinking a sip of it. However, after making my coffee, I tend to smell it and ignore it for a period of time. Worst of all, I hate to drink coffee that turns cold after a period of time. It tends to give me stomach discomfort.
In Singapore, there are various kinds of coffees brands available. We do have charcoal roasted coffee, they come powder packets, all of them are 3 in 1 instant coffee. That aroma of charcoal burning smell on the coffee, charcoal roasted coffee actually increases the smell of the coffee. After getting a sip of that heavenly tasting, I find myself slowly becoming more alert, more relaxed and calm. Giving me a chance to think better, on how to solve the problems faced in my project. Listening to music and sipping my charcoal roasted coffee in an air conditioned room actually has a wonderful feeling. You'll smell the coffee all over the room; it's really a weird habit of mine.
Sometimes, I have the urge to drink canned instant coffee instead. I love lattes especially, it's coffee with milk. We do have our own way for a name for our coffee with milk though. You'll have to come to Singapore to experience it. It'll be a wonderful experience, I assure you of it. Anyway, I love my caf latte cold; I do feel like it gives me the drive to work again. It's not as good as the charcoal roasted coffee, but it's a substantial replacement candidate for the charcoal roasted coffee.
I will not forget the last and final type of coffee which I love. It's the distinctive taste of the Irish coffee. It's a Irish whiskey with coffee. I could feel the taste of alcohol together with coffee. It perks you up a little, makes you feel kind of warm. Be do not worry, it doesn't make you drunk. And best of all, it's not too sweet. Just the way I loved it.
To summarize, I love coffee, but if the people preparing it sometimes can kill my love for coffee. Places like Starbucks tend to make their Ice Blended Coffees too sweet to my liking. Ignoring only that flaw, I believe coffee will always be my best friend ever.
