Poetry: Don't ask

by Tammy Horton

Created on: May 21, 2008

Don't ask as you look at me,
All bruised and battered, that's what you see,
Don't ask as you walk on by,
I'l be fine beneath the dark night sky,
Don't ask how i came to be here,
You'll never believe my fear,
Don't ask me why i'd rather live on the street,
I have no home, nowhere to go.
