Are you invited to a barbecue party for Fourth of July and you need to think of something to bring? Perhaps something new and different since all your friends and families already know what you always bring? Well, no matter who's barbecue you go to, it's pretty much the same kind of food everywhere. So here are some ideas I am going to share with you that I really enjoy at barbecue parties and all the guests love it too! It's simple, easy, good and definitely going to get compliments.
-Things you need-
Cherry tomatoes
Bacon
Brie cheese or Camembert
Maple syrup(optional)
Apples
Butter
Cinnamon sugar
1) Bacon wrap cherry tomato on skewers.
Very simple! cut bacon in half and wrap around the cherry tomato. It might be better if you use bamboo skewers and prepare 2 on each skewers. No seasoning is necessary since the bacon is salty enough. This is too simple to call it a recipe but I guarantee it's good! Just be careful not to burn your mouth cause the tomatoes get really HOT!
2) Brie Cheese Dip
Cut off the top of a 1 whole Brie cheese. Place it on a foil and choose a spot on the barbecue grill that is not too hot, normally on the edges the heat is lower. When you can tell the Brie has melted pour in a table spoon of maple syrup and mix it lightly. This simple but fancy cheese dip goes very well with vegetables, crackers, bagel chips, baguettes and even with apple slices. You might want to hide it from the kids cause once they taste it they will have none left for you to enjoy with your glass of wine! the kids love it cause it's fun dipping and of course it tastes good!
3) Apple Cinnamon
slice up some apples. Sprinkle Cinnamon sugar and drop some butter and wrap it with a foil so that it's completely closed. Choose a spot on the barbecue grill that is not too hot so it won't cook too fast and burn. You want to cook it slowly so it will soften the apple slices with the butter and sugar. The amount of Cinnamon sugar and butter is all up to how sweet and buttery you like it but just for an idea, i would put 4 to 5 table spoon of sugar and 2 table spoon of butter for a one whole big apple. If you want to use more than 1 apple, don't try to wrap all in one foil, wrap each apple in separate foils for it to cook evenly and quicker. This is such a great desert using the barbecue grill and you can also substitute it with bananas if you wish. If the BBQ party is at someone's home you can also prepare vanilla ice cream to serve it with!
How did you like my 3 ideas? Something a little new to surprise your friends and families. So easy and simple but a little more entertaining and fun!
