My favorite conspiracy theory is that we never truly visited the moon.

I love this because it is one of the few theories that can cause people to react so strongly.

Many people believe that our voyage to the moon was all taped on a back lot somewhere without the publics notice. This can be believable if you can take in consideration that
a. We have never once made another successful flight to the moon since. Regardless of our amazing advancements in technology.

b. The moon landing could very well be created fictitiously. Though the miracles of modern film tactics were not available. Movies such as "War of the Worlds" (1953), the "Twilight Zone"(1957), and "The Thing From Another World"(1951) were already made. The novel "It Can't Happen Here"(1935) that would later spawn the television series "V " had been written. The possibility of the creation is possible. Given an unlimited budget by the government and Hollywood's tricks.
c. The competition. The Cold War had been going on since 1940 and there was a need in our country to best the Russian's at everything. Could we as a country let them reach the moon before us? If that had happened it would have been a devastating blow to America's ego.
d. Neil Armstrong will not speak in public about his trip to the moon. Resources claim that this is because he has always been reserved and shy. Conspiracy supporters ask, "Who goes to the moon and doesn't talk about it?" "That's just not right."

Here is the opposite side of things.

a. The proof is rock solid. When we took our journey to the moon there were over 800lbs. of "Moon Rock" collected. Geologist world wide have tested and gave their opinions on these rocks to be real.
b.You can't fool the communist. All experts say that if the moon landing was a hoax it would have been quickly exposed by Russia to show that America was truly inferior.
c.Tag you're it. Apollos 11, 14 and 15 erected laser reflectors on the lunar surface. Laser beams are routinely fired at these reflectors through telescopes at McDonald Observatory in Texas and near Grasse in southern France.
d. Not just a dusty old excuse. The Apollo video is exactly what it appears to be, that is, man on the Moon. The convincing evidence is in the dust, which is particularly apparent in the video of the Lunar Rover. If this video were shot on Earth there would be clouds of dust thrown into the atmosphere by the Rover's wheels, however there is no evidence of this. The dust falls immediately back to the surface as it would in an airless environment.
