The best "Fourth of July" cocktails should be colorful, cold, and slushy! Cocktails should revive and refresh your guests without being heavy or overly-filled with alcohol. One of the standard summer drinks, especially for "Fourth of July", is your basic slushy margarita. A little margarita mix, a little tequila, and some crushed ice turns into a fantastic drink.
For something a little fancier, try these recipes for a single-serving Mudslide, Fuzzy Peach Slush, Orange-Lemonade Smoothie, Sizzling Tequila Sunrise Slush, and Strawberry Champagne Blender.
Mudslide Cocktail
3 Tbsp - Vodka 3 Tbsp - Coffee liqueur 3 Tbsp - Irish Cream liqueur 3 Tbsp - Milk 1/3 cup - crushed ice
Mix vodka, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream liqueur in a shaker. Add ice to shaker if you don't want it in the glass. Strain alcohol into a glass and add milk. Serve and enjoy.
Fuzzy Peach Slush Cocktail
2 Tbsp - vodka 2 Tbsp - peach schnapps 1/4 cup - cranberry juice 1/4 cup - lemonade 1/3 cup - crushed ice
Pour all ingredients, including ice, into a blender and mix until slushy. Pour drink into a glass and garnish with a lemon. Serve and enjoy.
Orange-Lemonade Smoothie Cocktail
3 Tbsp - vodka 1/4 cup - lemonade 1/3 cup - orange sherbet 2 Tbsp - crushed ice 2 tsp - orange liqueur (optional)
Pour all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth and creamy. Pour drink into a glass and serve with a slice of orange and lemon. Serve and enjoy.
Sizzling Tequila Sunset Slush Cocktail
3 Tbsp - Tequila 1/4 cup - orange sherbet 1 tsp - lime juice 1 tsp - lemon juice 1/4 cup - crushed ice 2 Tbsp - blackberry brandy
Pour all ingredients except brandy into a blender. Mix until smooth and creamy. Pour drink into a glass and top with blackberry brandy. Stir brandy lightly into the top of the drink, do not mix completely. Garnish with a slice of lime, lemon, or orange. Serve and enjoy.
Strawberry Champagne Blender Cocktail
1/4 cup - chopped strawberries 1 Tbsp - cherry liqueur 1/4 cup - lemon sorbet 1/4 cup - crushed ice 1/4 cup - champagne
Pour all ingredients except the champagne into a blender and mix and smooth and slushy. Pour champagne into blender and mix. Do not over-blend, it will make the champagne go flat. Pour into a *large* glass and garnish with a sliced strawberry and lemon wedge. Serve and enjoy.
