MURDER CHARGES

So I wake up from a cloudy haze, reality is I'm sobering up. I look around me the only face in the room I recognize is my lawyer David. He turns to me and says "great your awake, you might want to stay up for the rest of this trial" He lectures me some more as he pours me another rum and Coke under the table. "See the trick is" David says clearing his throat." I'm going to try to get you out of this murder charge by claiming self defense."

I'm really not sure how long this trial has been going on and I barely remember the night that got me here. I remember walking into a gas station one night in St. Louis with some drinking buddies that I had been in town to visit. We're standing in the never ending line waiting on the clerk behind the Plexiglas window, Next thing I know everyone is on the floor, I turn around and I'm greeted by a .38 snub nose revolver and a young gangster wannabe holding on to it. With out thinking the 40 oz of Old English in my hand some how makes contact with his head and shatters. The gun goes off right by my head. My face stinging from powder burns, and the constant ring and whoosh in my ears from the bang really sets me off.

I don't know why, but the gun was in my hand and the wannabe was on the floor soaked in Old English. Not thinking I placed the gun against his head, pulled the hammer back and squeezed. The result was everything I expected. Brain matter and blood flung everywhere on the Doritos, the Lottery Machine, the Newspapers, and even the Plexiglas that's shielding a very scared clerk.

Still deaf from the gun shoots and still drunk from what ever we had been drinking before we came in to the store. My friends grab me by the arms, pick me up, and we shuffle for the door.

I don't remember much after this, except after returning home days later to a full Voice mail service. My friends, police, everyone was looking for me. Why, what happened? Then it came back to me.

Now fully awake but still with a good buzz we sit in the St. Louis County Court House. I don't remember there being more than five people in that gas station, but some how twenty witnesses showed up, each one pointing their finger at me. All telling how I took things to far, I wouldn't stop when all those around me kept shouting at me to calm down. How I was a murderer.

The Judge who looked familiar, where had I seen him before? Long Hair, short beard, kind eyes, light tanned skin. Then it dawned on me who he was, and why I was really here.............

I wasn't on trial for the murder of some wigger, It was my soul I was on trial for murdering. I was on the verge of murdering mankind itself.

Jesus Christ gave the future Anti-Christ a hug and said "I can forgive you, but can you forgive yourself. Case Dismissed."

I walked out of the court room just as confused as when I walked in.

I knew I had some choices to make to change my life. I'm still making choices.

They tell me it's my destiny; I think I can change that.
