Stay With Me

I guess to be real, some parts of me believed
we could actually be,
more than this moment. That time, would
not drain
our love away,
and we had something that connected
us in
such a meaning so
deep that even we could not understand
why time after time
we ran back into each others arms.

I wish I could say I regret the things you
did not know,
the things I imagined for us but never, did. For me what
happened, between us was enough, because
I've never known
a love so true that existed solely from
the way you
looked at me.

It was not tainted by lustful
thoughts, of what people expected us
to do. It was me, it is you, still who
holds a part of my smile, that maybe I
can never get back.

It was not easy to accept, but I think
I could live with the fact that in some ways,
we were just meant to cross paths, touch
each
other's lives and yet never make
it to tomorrow.
